âThe five C's of teamwork are critical components for building a successful and high-performing team. By focusing on communication, camaraderie, commitment, confidence, and coachability, you can create a team that is productive, engaged, and resilient.â https://lnkd.in/gBa2JTws.Itâs been 5 months at Quick Quack Car Wash for me. I keep pinching myself as I look back on my list of requirements for my next role from my job search over the summer. I canât seem to find one of those things missing from Quick Quack. I definitely wonât be quitting my day job to become a professional golfer. At least not for the next 10 years đHowever, being apart of a team that encourages you through the misses and cheers on every win is pretty awesome.#carwash #recruiter #recruiting #teambuilding

Whatâs up doc? đ° đĽ Anyone know what this is? No, this is not simply the humble carrot. This is the somewhat infamous HANGING carrot. Thatâs right that thing your current employer does when they realise you arenât getting what you need from your current role and you start to weigh up your options or even getting another opportunity presentedâŚEnthusiastic talk of promotions, a bump in salary, some additional responsibility, the promise of âbigger things to come â⌠or at a last resort the counter offer. Iâm sure many of you will have had the carrot hung. As tempting as it is always remember the following⌠đĽ Why did you start to explore your options? đĽ Why has it taken you to secure another offer before the pay rise or promotion is offered? đĽWill anything really change or will you be in the same position in 6 months time? đĽIf they can offer it now, why couldnât they last week or the week before? Loyalty is great, but your loyalty should always be rewarded with recognition from the person you show it to. It shouldnât take a sudden âoh shit we are going to loose themâ moment for your employer to start pulling out the big guns. And yes I did grow this carrot. Thanks.

"Cliff was hired last year as a salesman in our Lonestar Region in Texas. He goes above and beyond the role of salesman, doing QC on jobs, and hopping in a mixer when needed. It seems like almost every day Cliff is calling with news of another big job he got for us, and we had to add mixers and drivers to keep up with all the work he gained us. He always has a positive can-do attitude and is a huge part of our future growth in Texas. Thank you, Cliff, for all you do."Nominated by: Jeramy Croell, Territory ManagerFavorite thing about working at Croell: Getting to be a big part of this fast-growing, family-oriented company and enjoying the challenges that are asked of me to help this company grow. Most interesting project: Stephenville ISD football stadium - 20,000 yards! What advice would you give to someone who might want to join Croell: Be excited to be a part of this company. What do you think are the best Teenage Jobs that prepare you for your career in Sales? For me it's manual labor and the service industry. My first jobs were as follows:đž Landscape route đĽ Waitstaff đ Worked at the Beach Each of these taught me something of value in building my persona.Landscape route: Starting with the basics, this job taught me the importance of persistence and initiative.Knocking on doors and offering services required confidence and resilience, skills that are essential in sales. It also taught me the value of hard work and the satisfaction of seeing tangible results, which translates directly into the sales process.Waitstaff: Working in the service industry refined my interpersonal skills and taught me the art of customer service. Understanding and meeting the needs of customers, even under pressure, is crucial in sales. Working as a waiter exposed me to upselling techniques and the importance of anticipating and fulfilling customer needs â skills directly applicable to sales strategies.Beach work as a Cabana Boy: Early mornings and long days taught me to persevere through challenges and remain focused on the end goal. The physical demands of the job honed my resilience and taught me to thrive in high-pressure environments â skills indispensable in a sales career where persistence and adaptability are key. These teenage jobs not only provided me with practical skills but also shaped my mindset and attitude towards work, setting a solid foundation for a successful career in sales. What were your teenage jobs, and how did they prepare you for your career?#sales #grit

Letâs say I need a new tireâŚđI search up some autoshops near me and find that one has advertised themselves very well. They have knowledgeable staff that know what they are doing, 5 star reviews, and the education required to do the job. Then I see theyâve only opened up a year ago. Do I sayâŚâI need them to have 5 more years of experience changing tires before I take my car to themâ or Do I sayâŚâThey know what they are doing, the reviews are great, and I am in need of a tire right now.âAs I am helping friends and family look for jobs in this market and I find multiple job postings needing 3-5 years of experience for entry level positions, this is what I think about. If they have the references to back them up, the knowledge of the position, and the certification or degree to do the job, what is it about the 5 years of experience that is mandatory for an entry level position? This is a genuine question, so I would love to hear your thoughts below!

As I was building a Batman Lego set with my son, a CORE memory popped into my head! Back in the summer of 2017, during my last step in the interview process with GEICO, I shadowed an employee, followed by a one-on-one interview with Bartholomew Mazzariello. During our conversation, I expressed that this was not my first time applying with the company, but Bart's response truly stuck with me since. He asked me what I would do if I was offered the position and referenced a quote from The Joker in The Dark Knight (2008): "Do I really look like a guy with a plan? You know what I am? I'm a dog chasing cars. I wouldn't know what to do with one if I caught it! You know, I just... *do* things." Although I can't remember my exact response, I do recall mentioning that I had gained applicable experience since my last application and once hired, I would put in the effort to show that I am the best candidate. And guess what? I did just that! With the amazing support and guidance from my trainers, supervisors, and mentors, I was able to excel at a rapid pace in my career. TL;DR In summary, my ambitious personality style, along with my continued openness to constructive criticism and feedback, will continue to be my driving force into my next career chapter.
